The Red Army started way back in 2002 as Jesus And The Disciples; a punkish duo consisting of Philip Burley (myself) and Carina Miles. Although I thought this was great at the time, my electric guitar then broke and i met Rachel; enter Folk Pop influence. She didnt like the name of the band so it was changed to The Red Army. That summer I met an amazing Fiddle player (Richard) and Florence who i started a folk side project with that later merged into The Red Army as everyone became friends.
