Off Limits have been together since 2003 and for the last 2 years this young band have been managed by Sally Edmondson of www.edm4music.co.uk who is trying very hard to get them signed. The band have played numerous gigs in Jersey over the last couple of years, have been interviewed twice on BBC Radio Jersey and played live on Channel 103.
Sally is currently organising a series of gigs for Off Limits in South West of England, which kicked-off on St. Patrick’ Day at the recently refurbished King Alfred in Southampton, a venue for 200 people. Sally said “It is just so difficult for bands to get the exposure that they deserve in Jersey. And there is so much talent over here!”
The young managers of the King Alfred, Steve and Gemma, said Off Limits were the best live band they had heard for some time and their enthusiasm was endorsed by local businessman, Greg White, who previously arranged gigs at this venue and now works for the theatre, as well as having his own company associated with the music industry. Sally was delighted to receive an email from the owner of the King Alfred on 20th March 2008 inviting Off Limits back to play on both the 25th and 26th April 2008. “This is just so great for the band and proves just how much the band have improved over the last 12 months”.
As part if the band’s promotional campaign Sally has enlisted the help of Patrick Cahill who is a student on the Arts Foundation Course at Highlands to take a portfolio of photographs of the band.
Sally is also looking to find a sponsor for the band to help fund the recording of the band’s long overdue album and travel to gigs in the UK. In return the sponsor’s logo would be displayed on all promotional material, banners at the band’s gigs and on the CD cover.
Off Limits may be young but are a seriously dedicated band and the chemistry between them on (and off!) stage is apparent.
