NEW INDIE CLUB NIGHT IN TRURO

At last Cornwall has an indie club night where you get the chance to catch some of the hottest new acts around, on their way up!  The Tuck Shop will launch at Bunters in Truro on Thursday February 23rd, with a knee-trembling lineup from future stars The Rifles and Milburn and floor filling DJ sets from hot London DJ duo We've Got Sweets, plus resident DJs Epsionage.  The night will also feature a mix tape exchange where you can leave your own selection of top tracks and take home someone else's idea of a good time, and a Tuck Shop where you will be able to buy band merchandise, pin badges and sweets to munch in time to the music.

Local support will be provided by Truro's My Elvis Blackout, the band who were named "the future of rock n roll" by The Damned's" Captain Sensible on the inaugural Tuck Shop night.  The band are currently working with legendary producer Hugh Jones (Echo & The Bunnymen, Hope of the States) and are soon to be releasing a 7" single on the Chips With Everything Label,  which will consist of early material produced by Dare Mason at the VIP Lounge.

MEB's "loud, lean, mean and fast cosmic punk n roll" will provide a lively opener for headliners The Rifles, who have been championed by none other than Alan McGee, and blew audiences at Reading and Leeds festivals away when they performed there last year.  Drawing comparasons with The Clash and with recent support slots with The Subways, The Rifles are looking like one of the hot tips for 2006.

Milburn are also a band with a mission...after recently supporting THE runaway success of the end of last year, Arctic Monkeys, the band who have been described as combining the riffs of the Jam and the hooks of Razorlight and Libertines are looking onwards and upwards.

This months visiting DJs are the brilliant and aptly named London duo We've Got Sweets the trashy indie disco kids backed by Rough Trade, who are soon to launch their own label.  They pride themselves on playing next months favourite tracks alongside the forgotten classics of yesteryear, with regular spots in the capital playing to the beautiful people.

Tickets are £6 on the door and are sure to be snapped up early so get there in plenty of time!

Doors 7.30pm Over 18s only
