Lead singer/songwriter from The T.K. CONNECTION,Tony King has landed the role of "The Wizard" in the west end production of "The Wizard Of Oz" this christmas!!

Tony was in London for a meeting with E.M.I. publishing,and unexpectedly found himself meeting West End Impressario Barry Stacey,who offered Tony the part almost on the spot!!

Tony says  "It was totally unexpected and Im so thrilled.I mean Im just a busker with a band who writes songs.I think they saw me on CH4 earlier this year doing a bit of acting and thought Id be right for the role.I grew up watching 'The Wizard Of Oz' like we all did,so its a great role to play.It's going to be so much fun to act in a major named West End show like this,and its a full on family show so im expecting a real 'panto' type of atmosphere.Im also totally kacking my pants because I've never done anything like this before,but Im sure it will be fine when Im there"!!!

You can go and see Tony as "The Wizard" in The Wizard Of Oz at The Shaw Theatre in Londons glittering West End from 14th - 30th December.(Tuesday - Friday at 2pm & 5.30pm) ( Saturday & Sunday at 3.30 & 7pm) (No shows on 19th,24th,25th & 26th December)
